Education Week is an initiative by the Victorian State Government and is usually held in May. The purpose of celebrating Education Week in May of each year, in all government schools, is to extend the positive relationship and partnership between the school and home. Research has clearly indicated that students are more likely to be engaged in their learning if the relationship between the school and the home is a positive one. Preparing our children for the future is a huge challenge and one that we need to focus on as educators and as parents. Activities throughout Education Week at BUPS include: an Open Morning, an Open Day, a Book Character Parade, and a Family Maths Night. All parents and friends are invited to attend. Information regarding these activities will be in the Newsletter.
