Wellbeing
Students learn far more effectively when they are safe, healthy and happy. Schools have a responsibility to support and encourage students so they can develop physically, emotionally, socially and intellectually. Our goal is for the students at BUPS to graduate as healthy, secure, resilient and academically sound people. Developing the wellbeing of our students is central to our role as educators and is reflected in our whole school philosophy.
The staff encourage the children to be confident, engaged and involved learners and to be effective communicators. When children develop strong attachments they will thrive in all areas of development. By addressing the children’s social and emotional needs, the staff promote the children’s ability to develop and maintain a positive, trusting and resilient mindset and also a sense of belonging at BUPS, which then facilitates optimal learning outcomes.
